I Am Maximus Grand National 2024 Odds

Willie Mullins' recruit arrived from Nicky Henderson's yard last season. Having found life hard in Graded novice chases, I Am Maximus advertised his staying credentials with an impressive win under Paul Townend in the 2023 Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.

I Am Maximus kicked off this season with a Grade One triumph in the Drinmore Novices' Chase. Willie Mullins' star then warmed up for Aintree with a bloodless triumph in the Bobbyjo Chase, where I Am Maximus thrashed Grand National rival Vanillier by 14 lengths.

I Am Maximus will carry the the famous yellow and green silks of top owner JP McManus. Willie Mullins' eight-year-old will be ridden by champion jockey Paul Townend and wear the number five saddle cloth number.
