We've taken a look through the latest Melling Chase odds and picked out our best betting tips.

2023 Marsh Chase Runners
Fakir D'Oudairies will attempt to become the first three-time winner of the Melling Chase when he returns to Aintree this week. Joseph O'Brien's raider currently trails Pic D'Orhy in the betting. Harry Cobden will ride the favourite, with Lorcan Williams confirmed in the saddle of Paul Nicholls' second-string, Hitman.
Fugitif steps up to Grade One company for the first time, following an excellent run in the Plate Handicap Chase at Cheltenham. Millers Bank claimed Grade One glory here at Aintree 12 months ago and Kielan Woods has replaced Jonathan Burke in his saddle.
Mouse Morris' French Dynamite will run in England again, following a good fourth in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham. Donald McCain's hat-trick seeking Minella Drama is the seventh and final entrant.
2023 Marsh Chase Tips
Based on the fact that he's won the last two renewals of this race, Fakir D'Oudairies should be favourite. That being said, Mark Walsh's mount threw in a shocker in the Ascot Chase, Joseph O'Brien's jumpers have been in woeful form in recent months and I don't see the first-time head-gear as a positive either.
Pic D'Orhy tops the market, despite a clear preference for going right-handed and a dreadful record at Grade One level. Stablemate Hitman ran a blinder on his first start around Cheltenham in the Ryanair and boasts a strong record around Aintree. That strong record doesn't include any wins, though. In fact, Hitman is still yet to register a victory in any form of Graded race. His will to win has to be questioned.
I'm going to chance my arm with MILLER'S BANK, who has saved his best performances for this meeting in each of the last two seasons. Alex Hales' star was only beaten three lengths behind Abacadabras in the Aintree Hurdle back in 2021 and routed the field to win the Manifesto by 10 lengths here last season.
Alex Hales' nine-year-old started this season with a couple of good runs at Carlisle and Huntingdon, before struggling in both the King George and the Ascot Chase. Kielan Woods' mount won on his second start after a wind-op in both 2020 and 2022, so it's safe to see we'll see much better version of Millers Bank when he returns to his favourite track on Friday.
Verdict
It's hard to catch Millers Bank on a going day, but Alex Hales' star has produced his best at this meeting before and he's two-from-two on his second start after a wind operation. 10/1 is a good each-way price.
