Inbetween two superb Grade Ones over fences at Kempton's Christmas Festival, ITV Racing viewers will take in the Grade One Christmas Hurdle. This historic race has been won by many of the sport's best hurdlers, and Nicky Henderson's Epatante will attempt to defend her crown on Boxing Day.

I like to try and find value when picking out any of my tips. However, seeing as she's scared away most of the competition and there are only two paid places available, I don't think there's anything to be gained by siding against EPATANTE.
Nicky Henderson's mare beat Silver Streak and Ballyandy here last year. Both Ballyandy and Silver Streak could have jumped better here last year, and Silver Streak has his ideal ground conditions.
The three renew rivalries again, but Epatante is 12 pounds higher in the ratings - having won the Champion Hurdle and the Fighting Fifth on her reappearance - and she'll still be gaining seven-pounds from her male counterparts at the weights.
Floressa isn't in the same league as her stablemate, and Diego Du Charmil is firmly in the grip of the handicapper. Even with flawless rounds of jumping, Silver Streak and Ballyandy wouldn't have beaten Epatante here last year, and Aidan Coleman's mount has progressed further in the last 12 months.
Verdict
Barring any mishaps in the jumping department, Epatante will win her second Christmas Hurdle, and I suspect she'll win with plenty in hand.
