2023 Commonwealth Cup Entries

Little Big Bear bounced back from a dismal showing in the 2000 Guineas with an effortless triumph in the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock. Aidan O'Brien's Group One winner shot to the head of the Commonwealth Cup betting after that victory, jumping ahead of Roger Varian's Sakheer, who didn't see out a mile when placing seventh in that Classic at Newmarket.

Like the top two in the market, Lezoo and Noble Style will also drop back in trip having failed to see out a mile in Classic company. Julie Camacho's Shaquille will be looking for his fifth win on the bounce when he steps up to Group One company for the first time at Ascot.

The Antarctic and Ocean Quest have traded pattern-race victories this season and both could flag for Ireland in the Commonwealth Cup. George Boughey could be represented by Al Dasim, with Karl Burke likely to run the exciting Marshman.

Charlie Appleby's Breeders' Cup winner, Mischief Magic will be looking to bounce back following a poor reappearance at Ascot. Other likely Royal Ascot runners include Richard Hannon's Shouldvebeenaring, a second Karl Burke runner in Cold Case, Kieran Cotter's Matilda Picotte and Isaac Shelby for Brian Meehan.
