The second Group One staged on the opening day of racing at Royal Ascot is the thrilling King's Stand Stakes. Many of the sport's fastest horses have won this historic five-furlong contest and the betting for this year's edition of the King's Stand is headed by one of 2022's stand-out sprinters.

Let's take a look through the latest King's Stand Stakes betting and run through the headline entries.

2023 King's Stand Stakes Entries

Sitting atop the King's Stand betting we find Highfield Princess, who won three Group One sprints last season and kicked off her 2023 campaign with a fine second in the Duke Of York Stakes. Nature Strip ran away with this race 12 months ago and fellow Aussie raider, Coolangatta travels over to the UK on the back of a Group One victory in the Black Caviar Lightning.

Coolangatta could be joined on the plane over to Berkshire by Cannonball, who won the Maurice McCarten Stakes for Peter and Paul Snowden back in March. American raiders are well-represented in the King's Stand market too, with Christophe Clement's Big Invasion sitting just ahead of Wesley Ward's Love Reigns in the betting.

Temple Stakes winner, Dramatised will bid for her second Royal Ascot victory, having won the Queen Mary Stakes last season. Kevin Ryan's Manaccan has been well-backed in recent days, as has Johnny Murtagh's raider, Ladies Church.

Other potential Royal Ascot runners include James Tate's Royal Aclaim and Roger Varian's The Platinum Queen. Marshman, Twilight Gleaming and French sprinter, Coeur De Pierre could also take up their King's Stand entries.
