2025 Queen Anne Stakes Entries
The first four from last month's Lockinge Stakes will meet again at Royal Ascot. Lead Artist claimed victory under Oisin Murphy in that Group One, but currently only sits third in the Royal Ascot betting.
Leading the way is last year's St James's Palace Stakes winner Rosallion, who finished third on his reappearance at Newbury. Dancing Gemini placed second after a tough trip in the Lockinge, having won twice going into that Group One. 2024 2000 Guineas winner, Notable Speech is expected to improve plenty for his fourth-place finish behind Lead Artist.
Another of last year's Royal Ascot winners looks set to line-up in this year's opener, with Coronation Stakes queen Porta Fortuna expected to take on the colts. Sardinian Warrior saw off Docklands in the trial for this Group One, and could drop back down in trip having found Sosie too tough to pass in the Prix Ganay last time out.
Lake Forest beat the classy Lazzat in the Golden Eagle down in Australia in November, and could step up to a mile for the first time at Royal Ascot. Diego Velazquez will have to head to the Royal meeting fresh, having been withdrawn from the stalls on his return to the track at Leopardstown.
Course-and-distance winners Docklands and Quddwah could further bolster this excellent field. Other possible runners in the opening race of Royal Ascot include French raider Facteur Cheval, Sun Chariot winner Tamfana, former Irish 1000 Guineas scorer Fallen Angel, and Ralph Beckett's loveable eight-year-old, Kinross.
