2023 Queen Anne Stakes Entries
Having won Group Ones in France and North America, Modern Games claimed his first top-level victory on home soil with an impressive triumph in the Lockinge Stakes on his reappearance. Charlie Appleby's top miler currently tops the Queen Anne betting, sitting ahead of John and Thady Gosden's Inspiral, who bolted up in the Coronation Stakes at this meeting 12 months ago.
Appleby has also handed an entry to Native Trail, who was beaten by Mutasaabeq on his reappearance in the bet365 Mile. Mutasaabeq could also enter the opening race at Royal Ascot, following a fifth-place finish in last month's Lockinge.
Jean-Claude Rouget could be represented by Erevann, who beat The Revenant in the Prix Daniel Wildenstein last autumn. The lightly-raced Maljoom sits prominently in the market, as does Richard Hannon's Chindit, who finished a creditable second behind Modern Games at Newbury last time out.
Jerome Reynier could send a second French raider, Facteur Cheval over to Berkshire for the Queen Anne Stakes. Other possible runners on day one of Royal Ascot include Ralph Beckett's Angel Bleu, Cash and Light Infantry for David Simcock, dual-Group Two winner Jadoomi and Andrew Balding's Berkshire Shadow.
