2025 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes Tips - Two selections for Ascot's final Group One

The 2025 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, a prestigious six-furlong race, has been renamed in memory of Queen Elizabeth II and will feature top sprinters from five countries. Odds-on favorite Lazzat has not raced in Britain, which raises concerns, while Inisherin, with proven success at Royal Ascot, is highly anticipated. Jasour, although an outsider, shows promise after a commendable performance in the King Charles III Stakes. Inisherin's past success, combined with strategic positioning, makes him a strong contender to claim another Royal victory this Saturday.

Having been run as the Diamond Jubilee Stakes and the Platinum Jubilee Stakes in recent seasons, the final Group One at Royal Ascot has been renamed in memory of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away in 2022. This six-furlong contest always attracts a high-quality field and top sprinters from five different countries will contest year's renewal.

Here's our free guide to the 2025 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, including our best betting tips.

Leading the way in the betting is Jerome Reynier's Prix Maurice de Gheest winner Lazzat, who was snapped up by Wathnan Racing following his impressive Listed win at Chantilly. Inisherin won the Commonwealth Cup at this meeting 12 months ago, and returns to Ascot on the back of a reappearance win in the Duke Of York Stakes.

Aidan O'Brien's recruit Storm Boy remains prominent in the market, despite an awful stable debut when last in the Greenlands Stakes. Noriyuki Hori's Satano Reve is a Group One winner in Japan and has twice placed behind Hong Kong's sprinting superstar Ka Ying Rising. Runaway Challenge Stakes winner, Topgear will also fly the flag for France, as he drops back down to six furlongs.

New Wathnan Racing recruit, Flora Of Bermuda will be getting a fillies allowance, along with Chartwell Fillies' Stakes winner, Great Generation and David O'Meara's outsider, Nighteyes. James' Delight will renew rivalries with Grand Grey and Iberian, having beaten both when claiming a shock victory in the Greenlands Stakes.

Karl Burke runs multiple stakes winner Elite Status. Jasour is the only horse from Tuesday's King Charles III Stakes to take up their Saturday entry. Abernant Stakes winner Sajir will also fly the flag for France. Annaf and Run To Freedom complete the line-up.

2025 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes Tip 1 - Inisherin

There are question marks against several of the leading contenders. Favourite Lazzat has never raced in Britain before, or on ground as fast as this.

The Japanese raider Satono Reve is used to this sort of ground, but racing in Britain is completely different to what he's used to. Aidan O'Brien is convinced that Storm Boy will be a different horse come Royal Ascot, but that stable debut at the Curragh was too poor to ignore.

Lazzat is one of the few proven front-runners in the field. Ryan Moore will want Storm Boy to go forward too. They're drawn out in stalls 11 and 15 respectively, so the proven Ascot performer INISHERIN (9/2) seems to be drawn perfectly up in stall 13.

Kevin Ryan's sprinter ran out a clear-cut winner of the Commonwealth Cup at this meeting 12 months ago. Things went a little pear-shaped thereafter, with Inisherin finishing fifth as the favourite in the July Cup, and out the back in the Sprint Cup at Haydock.

The favourite returned to winning ways on his reappearance in the Duke Of York Stakes. Inisherin didn't get the easiest passage through the race from stall one, but asserted at the furlong pole and held on from the fast-finishing Flora Of Bermuda.

Ryan said after that race that Inisherin suffered a set-back in the winter, suggesting that his star wasn't fully revved up for that return at York. Coming back to Royal Ascot has clearly been the plan and Inisherin can claim his second Royal victory on Saturday.

2025 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes Tip 2 - Jasour

I'm still not ready to give up on JASOUR (40/1), who ran better in the King Charles III Stakes than the finishing position suggests.

Clive Cox's sprinter can be slowly away, which has been his downfall on plenty of occasions. Jim Crowley's mount sat last in the group along the inside rail early on and managed to make some late gains, despite being forced to angle towards the centre of the track to make up ground.

Cox has added tongue tie for this step back up to six furlongs - a trip that Jasour has excelled at in the past. Crowley's mount boasts plenty of strong form here at Ascot and hopefully that run on Tuesday has put him spot on for this assignment.
