One of the most lucrative races staged during the Breeders' Cup is the Breeders' Cup Turf. European raiders boast an excellent record in this 12-furlong contest, so it's no surprise to see the ante-post betting dominated by the raiders.
We've taken a look through the confirmed field for the 2022 Breeders' Cup Turf and picked out our best betting tips.

Charlie Appleby's record in North American turf contests has been incredible over the last two years. Appleby and Godolphin landed this prize with Yibir 12 months ago and they look set to run both two-time German Group One winner, Rebel's Romance and Saratoga Derby winner, Nations Pride, with the bookies narrowly favouring the latter.
John Gosden's multiple Group One winner, Mishriff sits prominently in the market. Stone Age and Broome will fly the flag for Aidan O'Brien. All five British entrants sit within the top six spots in the current market.
The highest-placed American entrant in the Breeders' Cup betting is Billy Mott's mare War Like Goddess, who booked her spot at Keeneland by thrashing another of Saturday's runners, Bye Bye Melvinin the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic.
Other home runners include Michael Maker's Red Knight, Michael McCarthy's Master Piece and Graham Motion's Highland Chief, who won a handicap at Royal Ascot during his time with Paul and Oliver Cole. Brazillian star, Nautilus will have his first start for Pablo Lobo in Saturday's penultimate race.

Bye Bye Melvin has drawn the one stall again, like he did in the Joe Hirsch. Fergal Lynch will be keen to get out quickly and make the running. The two Ballydoyle runners, Stone Age and Broome have also enjoyed front-running duties in the past and both could go forward early from their low stalls.
War Like Goddess tracked Bye Bye Melvin from stall two in the Joe Hirsch and ran out an impressive winner. Billy Mott's mare will try to replicate that run after she was drawn in stall two again. Whether that will be enough to beat the European raiders, only time will tell.
I like the two Charlie Appleby horses at the top of the market. Nations Pride is the improving three-year-old in the field and he's already proven himself in North America. I do have my reservations with William Buick's mount over this trip, though, so I'll take him on with a proven stayer in stablemate REBEL'S ROMANCE.
Having only been tried on synthetic tracks earlier in his career, Rebel's Romance made his turf debut in the Fred Archer Stakes at Newmarket in June. Appleby's mount ran out an impressive winner that day and has gone on to seal a four-timer, having struck in the Glorious Stakes, the Preis von Berlin and the Preis von Europa.
Some may sniff at the German form angle, but don't forget, Alpinista won the very same Group Ones in 2021 and she was much the best in last month's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Rebel's Romance beat three of Germany's best three-year-olds in those Group One races too, including Germany Derby winner Sammarco, who was getting six pounds from the winner in the Preis von Europa.
Verdict
With a string of wins next to his name coming into the race and a kind draw in stall five, Rebel's Romance is, for me, the one they all have to beat.
