- Al Hakeem has been cut into 12/1 from 20/1 by BetVictor
There are now less than 24 hours to go until Europe's most prestigious flat race, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe takes place.
Aidan O'Brien's Luxembourg remains the 16/5 favourite with bookmakers BetVictor. Alpinista is the 4/1 second favourite, with Vadeni, Titleholder, Westover and defending champion, Torquator Tasso all sitting at single-figure prices.
Behind the market leader, one French runners has made a serious move in the Arc betting over the past 24 hours. Here's the latest Arc market mover.
Arc Market Mover - Al Hakeem
AL HAKEEM entered the Arc picture following an impressive victory in the Prix Guillaume d'Ornano. Jean-Claude Rouget's charge was backed into odds-on favouritism ahead of that Group Two and won nicely in the end, coming through late on to beat Junko by half-a-length.
Al Hakeem has only been beaten once this season, that loss coming in a red-hot Prix du Jockey Club, where Cristian Demuro's mount placed fourth behind Vadeni, El Bodegon and Modern Games. His sire, Siyouni produced 2020 Arc winner Sottsass and punters clearly feel that there's a good chance Al Hakeem could follow in his former stablemate's footsteps.
On Friday, BetVictor listed Rouget's three-year-old as a 20/1 outsider. As of 3:00pm on Saturday afternoon, Al Hakeem had been cut into 12/1.
