The 2026 Rising Stars Novices' Chase, now set for Aintree, features Talk To The Man as the early favourite following an impressive debut win over fences for Dan Skelton. Other key entries include No Drama This End, last season’s Challow Hurdle winner for Paul Nicholls, and Cristal d'Estruval, who showed promise before injury cut his novice season short. Crystal Island, Taurus Bay, and several others are also entered, with many making their chasing debuts in this Grade Two contest.

2026 Rising Stars Novices' Chase Entries

Formerly trained by Paul Nicholls, Talk To The Man ran out an impressive winner on his stable debut for Dan Skelton last month. Skelton's recruit sauntered to an excellent victory on his first start over fences and has since been backed into 15/8 favouritism for this Grade Two.

Paul Nicholls will be represented by one of last season's leading novice hurdlers, Challow Hurdle winner No Drama This End. Harry Derham has entered Cristal d'Estruval, who looked hugely promising last autumn before his novice season was curtailed by injury.

Nico de Boinville will ride the unbeaten Crystal Island for Nicky Henderson. Ben Pauling has handed an entry to Grade Two-placed Taurus Bay who, like No Drama This End, Cristal d'Estruval and Crystal Island, will make his chasing debut in this contest.

Newton Abbot winner Intosomethinggood could represent Nigel and Willy Twiston-Davies. Alan King has entered Favor And Fortune, who has twice finished third in the Premier Handicap Hurdle at the Grand National Festival. Mickey Bowen could be represented by the hat-trick-seeking novice Off The Jury.

Ben Pauling has also entered Kalkbrenner, while Pourquoi Pas Papa could bolster Paul Nicholls' team. Dan Skelton's Hexham winner Royal Infantry is the outsider of the field.
