The first fillies' Classic of the season takes place at Newmarket on the first Sunday in May, as the 1000 Guineas takes place on the Rowley Mile.  This historic race has been won by many of flat racing's most famous fillies and the betting for this year's renewal is topped by two of last season's best juveniles.

Here's the latest 1000 Guineas betting and a look through the most likely runners.

2025 1000 Guineas Entries

Despite his success in the colt's Classic, Charlie Appleby is yet to celebrate a 1000 Guineas win. That could change this year, as runaway Fillies' Mile winner Desert Flower dominates the ante-post market.

Aidan O'Brien will play a strong hand as he looks to win a seventh 1000 Guineas in the last 11 years. Unbeaten three-time Group One winner Lake Victoria is the highest-placed of his entrants in the market. Chesham winner, Bedtime Story is being prepared for Newmarket, while Exactly, January, Heavens Gate and Bubbling are also possible runners.

Ger Lyons could be represented by Moyglare fourth Red Letter and Listed winner Chantez. Donnacha O'Brien could be represented by the once-raced Falling Snow. French trainer, Francis-Henri Graffard has handed a speculative entry to Vertical Blue, who upset hot-favourite Zarigana to land the Prix Marcel Boussac on Arc day last year.

William Haggas' filly Nardra can be backed at 25/1, despite only running once so far in her career. Ralph Beckett has entered maiden winners Bright Time Ahead, Chantilly Lace, Cathedral and Sandtrap. Other potential runners at the Guineas Festival include Ollie Sangster's stable star Simmering, the unbeaten Kon Tiki for Jane Chapple-Hyam, another Charlie Appleby runner in Verse Of Love, and Patrice Cottier's Cheveley Park Stakes runner-up, Daylight.
