"Bravemansgame probably deserves to be favourite as he has won this year and he has won the Kauto Star around the track and he seems to be progressing, but at the end of the day they don't know what price they are."

"He won at Kempton last year and the track suits him well, a flat right-handed track. I've always thought this would be Bravemansgame's target ever since he won the Kauto Star last year. He has always been prepared for it."

"It probably is his toughest test as he gone through his novice races and he has won his first race out of novice company this year. He is now into the big boys' league in the biggest race there is over Christmas."

"Harry will ride Bravemansgame, Sam Twiston-Davies will ride Hitman and Bryony will ride Frodon assuming she is fit, if not Lorcan Williams will ride Frodon. He is sitting there as a first reserve."

"Lorcan rode Hitman last season, but Sam has won big races for Ged (Mason) and Sir Alex. Harry, at the moment, wouldn't get off Bravemansgame to get on Hitman as he has won those Grade Ones on him and he is very happy to ride him."

"He only wouldn't ride him if he didn't run. Hopefully everything goes right next week and we look forward to the big day. If it is good to soft ground or soft ground it will be perfect."

Hitman

"It is the unknown [going three miles], of course it is. We know Bravemansgame gets the three miles well at Kempton and he hasn't yet, but he got the trip well at Haydock the other day and I think he is crying out for this trip."

"I think up to now he probably hasn't been man enough or strong enough to get the trip, but he is ready now."

Frodon

"He won the race two years ago, but he is not getting any younger. He was never right last season after he ran at Down Royal, but a lot of ours were not right in the spring. He got injured in the Ultima as he got jumped into."

"He had a nice break, came back and won the Badger Ales Chase at Wincanton. I ran him too soon in the Betfair Chase but we went up there to pick up some prize money."

Part-owner, Andy Stewart discusses L'Homme Presse's chance with Racing Post

"After Newcastle, he really needs to run now, and is ready to go. He is moving very nicely and we are very hopeful we can go."

"You can't just keep working them, that is why we have every intention of going to Kempton, because he is ready to go. He needs to go and he is a Grade 1 horse, so needs to be running in Grade 1 company."

"Kempton is not the ideal track for L'Homme Presse because it is so flat and so sharp. The ground is never very deep and that does not play to his strengths."

Racing TV catch up with Envoi Allen's trainer Henry De Bromhead

“After the Durkan last year, I said I was going back to two miles and in fairness he won his Grade One, but probably a weak one in Leopardstown."

“He ran well in the Champion Chase, but obviously I got the trip completely wrong. It might be a blessing in disguise as he’s in mighty form now and was really good the other day."

“I loved the way he ran through the line at Down Royal and travels really well. Unlike with Minella Indo last year going to Kempton where I thought ‘I have to force this’, I presume this guy will just travel away in behind them. Hopefully it will suit him.”

“We can sharpen his jumping up a little bit. We’re so used to him being so extravagant, but maybe over three miles, going that stride slower he’s not as exuberant."

“I think the way his wind is, he needs nice-ish ground – I’d be more concerned if it came up very soft."

Joe Tizzard speaking to Racing TV about Eldorado Allen

“He came out of it really well. He’s a 162-rated horse and is kind of in no man’s land to be honest, but he’s already won £70,000 in prize-money this year and we’ll take our chances wherever we can."

“I think we’ll run him (in the King George). There’s no reason why he won’t be placed and you only need a couple of horses to underperform and things happen."

“Unless something changes, I’ve got no reason not to run him.”

Alex Hales talking about Miller's Bank's chance with Racing TV

“He seems absolutely fine and we were very pleased with him, really. I just felt he showed (In the Peterborough Chase) what we thought in the back of our mind, that he was ready for a step up to three miles."

“On a flat, right-handed track, they were just a bit too quick for him – he was flat out the whole way. I thought he stayed very well at Carlisle, although we always had the Peterborough as the plan."

“Kielan is very keen (to run in the King George), but we are conscious it is only three weeks away. The result would not dissuade me, it is just getting the horse back in three weeks’ time. You would have to be led by the horse."

“I’m not saying no, I’m just not saying yes. At the end of the day, if we had five weeks to it, I’d say yes, we’d chance our arm, but three weeks is a bit tight.”
