The 2025 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Europe's flagship flat race, headlines this October at Paris-Longchamp. Minnie Hauk is the clear favourite after a strong draw, with Aventure and Sosie also well-backed. Recent weather has shifted odds, especially affecting Japanese contenders, while track conditions and the draw have proven pivotal. Bettors should consider draw positions and soft ground form ahead of making their choices.

2025 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe Runners

Minnie Hauk has managed to establish herself as the clear favourite for this afternoon's Arc. Aidan O'Brien's triple Oaks winner had been joined at the head of the betting by last year's gallant runner-up Aventure, following her win in the Prix Vermeille, but Christophe Soumillon's mount has been cut into 7/2 clear favouritism after landing a favourable low draw in stall one.

Several other leading contenders have had their odds slashed since Thursday's all-important draw. Sosie, beaten favourite in the race 12 months ago, has moved into a single-figure price following his draw in stall three. Francis Graffard's Daryz and fellow three-year-old Cualificar have both been cut into 12/1, following single-figure draws.

The softening ground conditions at Longchamp has seen former ante-post favourite Kalpana move back in to 10/1. Weather conditions in Paris have, sadly, had a detrimental effect on the odds of the two leading Japanese hopes, with both Croix Du Nord and Byzantine Dream drifting markedly in the past 48 hours.

Alohi Alii is now the highest-placed of the Japanese raiders in the market, mainly due to his low draw in stall four. Five-year-old Quisisana has been supported in recent days, along with Irish raider White Birch and Grand Prix de Paris winner Leffard.

Tom Marquand's mount, Gezora has drifted slightly. Kalpana's conqueror at Kempton, Giavellotto is still unlikely to take his chance on unsuitably soft ground. Los Angeles, Hotazhell and Arrow Eagle complete the line-up.
