2026 Punchestown Champion Hurdle Entries

Lossiemouth was finally given her moment to shine in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, and Paul Townend's mount took it with both hands, hammering her rivals to claim a commanding success. The form of that Grade One was boosted in the Aintree Hurdle, after which Lossiemouth was cut into 4/7 to score at Punchestown.

Brighterdaysahead finished second to Lossiemouth at Cheltenham, and went on to beat The New Lion and Alexei at Aintree. Gordon Elliott's mare could be seen again at Punchestown, but she's more likely to head to the Mares' Hurdle over two-and-a-half miles.

Sitting third in the market is Barry Connell's William Munny, who has missed most of this season through injury. Jeremy Scott has entered former Champion Hurdler Golden Ace, despite comfortable defeats at Cheltenham and Aintree.

Poniros stayed on to finish sixth in the Champion Hurdle, and could represent Willie Millins. Anzadam, Absurde and El Fabiolo have also been entered by the Champion Trainer.

Jonjo & A J O'Neill have handed an entry to runaway County Hurdle winner Wilful. Gordon Elliott could be further represented by Casheldale Lad. Ciaran Murphy could run Grade One-winning novice Zanoosh. David Kelly's Glen Kiln rounds off the entries.
