The 2025 Punchestown Festival concludes with a gripping final day featuring two Grade One races. Key selections include Dreaming Blue, who returns after a strong performance last December; Majestic Force, debuting in handicap chase with notable past successes; and Too Bossy For Us, set to outperform with better grounds and strategic positioning. Dreaming Blue and Majestic Force show potential for leading positions while Too Bossy For Us hopes to leverage its past experience. Expect strategic rides and thrilling finishes on Saturday!

The Punchestown Festival draws to a dramatic conclusion on Saturday, with two more Grade One races featuring on another excellent card.

Here are my three selections on the final day of the 2025 Punchestown Festival.

Punchestown Festival 2025 Day 5 Tips - Saturday 3rd May

3:05pm Punchestown - Oaklodgelandscapes.ie Handicap Chase Tips

As I mentioned earlier in the week, before Gabriel's Getaway ran a stinker, Anthony Honeyball usually does well in the handicaps at the Punchestown Festival. He'll be represented here by DREAMING BLUE (14/1), who won nicely off this mark over an extended 25 furlongs at Ludlow in December.

Honeyball's eight-year-old produced a career-best performance when bolting up at Fontwell at this time last year. While his most recent effort at Sandown offers little encouragement, Rex Dingle's mount did follow that Ludlow win with a cracking effort behind O'Connell on Scilly Isles day and Dreaming Blue should have the stamina to cope with this extended trip.

4:15pm Punchestown - Pat Taaffe Handicap Chase Tips

MAJESTIC FORCE (7/2) will make her handicap debut in this three-mile chase and Henry De Bromhead's mare seems to have plenty going in her favour. A winner over hurdles here at Punchestown last season, Rachael Blackmore's mount got within half-a-length of upsetting future Grade One winner Spindleberry as the pair made their chasing debuts at Cork in December.

Following an error-strewn outing at Naas, Majestic Force claimed her first victory over fences in a Beginners Chase over this distance at Wexford last month. De Bromhead's seven-year-old was barely extended in beating two decent geldings that day and this opening mark of 126 looks extremely lenient.

4:50pm Punchestown - Champion Four Year Old Hurdle Tips

I'm still convinced that Lulamba is the best juvenile hurdler of this generation and I'd love to see Nicky Henderson's star prove that at Punchestown. Poniros got up late to beat Lulamba in the Triumph Hurdle and is one of nine runners for Willie Mullins, who'll again look to outmuscle the market leader with sheer weight of numbers.

At a price, I'll chance my arm with TOO BOSSY FOR US (33/1). Like Poniros, this former British flat racer made his hurdling debut at the Cheltenham Festival. Whereas Poniros was ridden handily and pounced late, Harry Cobden held his keen-going mount up out the back and Too Bossy For Us could only stay on to finish a distant seventh.

I thought Mullins recruit jumped well on the whole at Cheltenham. Better ground and switching to a right handed track could suit too, given he won around Ascot last summer. Cobden is in the saddle once again and I'll be hoping he positions Too Bossy For Us a little more handily than he did in the Triumph Hurdle.
