Vaal Tips - Thursday 13th May
Race 1 - CAPTAIN LANNISTE (6)
CAPTAIN LANNISTER produced a promising debut effort over this C&D, two weeks ago. He found betting support that day which suggests that he had been showing good work back at home. The son of Captain Of All would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.
Race 2 - SPANISH SONG (2)
SPANISH SONG looked a winner in her last start, but was caught in the latter stages. She was reported to have been coughing that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. She should enjoy the drop to the minimum trip and with Luke Ferraris retaining the ride, she can shed her maiden tag.
Race 3 - LAZY GUY (1)
LAZY GUY is much better than his last start in the Workriders vs Jockeys Challenge. His form prior to that outing was good. He tries the 1450m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should shed his maiden tag.
Race 7 - AL SAKEET (2)
AL SAKEET is lightly raced with very good form to his credit. It must be noted that Celestial Love has come out and won again since. The son of Var is better suited to this distance at this stage of his career and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
Race 8 - LAGERTHA (3)
LAGERTHA ran a good race when finishing second against the males last time. She has won once and finished second twice from as many starts on this course. The daughter of Frankel shows good speed in her races and may be hard to peg back.

Lagertha (Race 8) is Magic Tips' best bet at Vaal on May 13th.
