Fairview racecourse hosts its usual Friday meeting today, and the first race is set to go off at 11:15am (UK Time). To help you try and find a few winners, here are Magic Tips' South African Horse Racing selections for today.

Race 3 - TIME HONORED (1)

TIME HONORED is seldom too far off the action, finishing second in his last start over 1400m, just one length behind the winner. He made good late progress that day and from a wide draw nine, he should be doing his best work late.

Race 4 - PRETTY AWESOME (2)

PRETTY AWESOME won over 1200m on debut and then finished third next time out over 1000m, two lengths back from the winner when returning from a three month rest. She would have come on further with that run under her belt and she is likely to enjoy the step up in trip.

Race 5 - KLEINZEE (1)

KLEINZEE has won six on the bounce, the last three on the polytrack and the latest by 1.25L. She’s set to carry 62kgs, but has done so in the past and is re-united with Richard Fourie. She could be good enough to continue on her winning streak.

Race 7 - CRUISE CONTROL (1)

The day’s best bet, CRUISE CONTROL is a sixteen time winner from thirty four starts and has won three of his last four starts, finishing a head second in the other. His latest victory came on the poly by 1.75L and from gate six, he looks hard to topple.

Race 8 - WILD FIG (1)

WILD FIG has won four of his last five outings and has finished second in the other, the latest over 2000m, albeit by just a head. However it should be noted that he was baulked for a run between the 500m and 250m mark, so that victory was full of merit.
