FIRST BLOOM flyjumped and did struggle to take the turn when finishing second first time out over 1250m, two lengths off the winner. She now has had the experience of racing at the country course and with improvement, she looks to be the one to side with here.

Race 5 - PRAIRIE DAWN (5)

PRAIRIE DAWN has consistent form lines to his name and followed up his penultimate run victory over 1600m with a third place finish next time out over 1950m, 0.55L back from the winner. He ran on strongly from some way back that day and whilst returning from an 18 week rest, the engagement of Keagan de Melo is encouraging.

Race 6 - DOUBLE GRAND SLAM (5)

The day’s best bet, DOUBLE GRAND SLAM has her first run after a twelve week rest. She is a multiple Grade 1 winner who has posted one win and two second place finishes over this C&D. The mare is very well-weighted here and looks likely to add to her already impressive record.

Race 7 - JET FORCE (7)

JET FORCE has won four of his last seven starts and is two for two over this C&D. With regular rider Grant van Niekerk in the irons, he looks the one that they all have to beat.

Race 9 - AXIS POWER (8)

AXIS POWER is seldom far off the action, finishing second last time out over this C&D, just 0.4L back from the winner. He is drawn wide in gate eight, but he is a speedy sort who should be able to work his way across without using up too much effort.
