Racegoers are in for a sensational day of racing at Newmarket on Saturday, where the Cheveley Park Stakes, the Middle Park Stakes and the Cambridgeshire feature on a stacked card. ITV Racing will be showing five excellent races live from Newmarket, as Haydock chips in with a couple of competitive handicaps.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 26th September
1:22pm Newmarket - Jersey Lily' Fillies Nursery Handicap Tips
In the opening Jersey Lily on Saturday, I fancy an each-way punt on TANSY LANE (14/1). James Owen's filly faded from the front on her racecourse debut at Yarmouth but ran much better when held up on her second outing on the July Course, where she was only beaten two lengths behind Acting Lady and Saturday's favourite, Sierra Belle.
Kieran Shoemark's mount was only pushed out to justify odds of 8/13 when opening her account at Epsom last month, and the third from that contest has won two handicaps since. Rab Havlin takes over in the saddle this weekend, and Tansy Lane's opening mark of 74 could prove rather lenient.
1:35pm Haydock - Epic Boosts Handicap Tips
Over to Haydock now, where ETERNAL FORCE (4/1) looks a good bet to get back on track. William Haggas' gelding completed a hat-trick with a course and distance success last October and entered this year's Lincoln as the 4/1 second favourite.
Cieren Fallon's mount hung left when finishing a fairly close seventh at Doncaster before losing out by just a neck at Hamilton to Diego Ventura, who has since claimed Group Three honours in France. Haggas then tried ten furlongs at Newcastle, where Eternal Force didn't see out the distance, and Dylan Browne McMonagle's mount was last seen staying on to finish seventh as The Lost King ran down the front-running Mirsky at York's Ebor Festival.
Given how easily he won on Merseyside last autumn, I'm sure Haggas will have had this handicap pencilled in for a little while. Eternal Force is back on the same mark of 96 that he started the season on, and first-time cheekpieces could help Fallon's mount bounce back to winning ways.
1:55pm Newmarket - Royal Lodge Stakes Tips
Charlie Appleby has won most of the major honours on offer at Newmarket over the past decade or so, but the Royal Lodge has continued to elude him. I'm expecting that to change on Saturday, as FIRST LAW (3/1) seems set to build on that Haydock victory.
Appleby's charge went into the Ascendant Stakes on the back of a narrow victory on debut at Sandown. William Buick's mount drifted as the ground turned heavy at Haydock, but the favourite never really looked likely to be beaten, hitting the front early in the contest before comfortably holding his rivals at bay.
First Law was still very green in the Ascendant, but I liked the way he knuckled down and stuck to his task. Buick has opted to ride him over Quest For Stars, who was last seen running in Group One company. That's a huge vote of confidence in itself, and better ground on Saturday will certainly suit this strapping son of Too Darn Hot.
2:10pm Haydock - Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Tips
TRILBY (6/1) boasts a fantastic record at this venue, and Sam England's sprinter returns to his favourite track having run a cracker in the Silver Cup at Ayr last weekend. PJ McDonald's mount kept on well to finish second to Uncle Don in his group on the stands' side of the straight, crossing the line two lengths adrift of Station X, who raced on the faster ground near the inside rail.
Trilby claimed his fourth course and distance win here in May and wasn't beaten far behind Poatan on his most recent trip to Merseyside last month. England's stalwart takes his racing well, and I like Trilby's low draw in stall four. He's more than capable of winning off this career-high mark.

3:40pm Newmarket - Cambridgeshire Tips
Karl Burke has pulled off a masterstroke in each of the last two seasons, winning the Cambridgeshire with top-weight front-runners who were both drawn low. The eight winners prior to Boiling Point and Liberty Lane were drawn in stall 20 or wider and, after many of the leading contenders were handed wide draws on Thursday, it seems likely that we'll revert to that interrupted trend.
Billy Loughnane has picked up the ride on the experienced ERZINDJAN (10/1), who finished a good fourth in last year's Cambridgeshire off a mark of 98. Tom Kent's eight-year-old proved his liking for the Rowley Mile again in May, when he produced a late burst to beat Fifth Column, Tycoon and The Lost King in the valuable Suffolk Handicap.
Erzindjan has only run twice since then, finishing a solid sixth in the Royal Hunt Cup before struggling around York – not for the first time – in the Finale Handicap. It's clear that Kent has been campaigning his stable star with another tilt at the Cambridgeshire in mind, and Loughnane will be delighted with his draw in stall 25. Off a mark of just 100, Erzindjan is a massive player.
Another course winner in the field is SPANISH VOICE (25/1), who looks massively overpriced for Oisin Murphy and Andrew Balding. Spanish Voice is in fact unbeaten on the Rowley Mile, having won a very good ten-furlong maiden on his only start in 2025 before an impressive handicap triumph over a mile during the Guineas Festival.
Oisin Murphy's mount managed to follow up on the July Course two starts later and wasn't beaten far behind Hickory at Ascot in July. Spanish Voice wasn't as effective when that same rival scored at Ascot again earlier this month, finishing eighth after being backed into favouritism, but Balding's four-year-old remains a handicapper on the up, and form on the Rowley Mile can never be underestimated.
