2025 Grand National Entries
Gavin Cromwell has decided against running Inothewayurthinkin in the Grand National, three weeks after his Cheltenham Gold Cup success. The new favourite for the 2025 Grand National is Tom Gibney's Intense Raffles, who ran out an impressive winner of the Irish Grand National last season.
Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero have been training the talented Iroko for the National all season and he's moved up to third in the market. Defending champion, I Am Maximus was handed a mark of 167 when the Grand National weights were unveiled, meaning he'll carry top weight when he returns to Aintree in April.
Willie Mullins could also be represented Thyestes winner Nick Rocket, bet365 Gold Cup hero Minella Cocooner, and last year's National seventh Meetingofthewaters. In Inothewayurthinkin's absence, Gavin Cromwell looks set to run Cross Country winner Stumptown, and recent Leopardstown scorer Perceval Legallois.
Paul Nicholls has pointed Coral Gold Cup winner Kandoo Kid at the world's most famous handicap. Nigel Twiston-Davies' Beauport sits prominently in the market. Other leading home fancies include Nicky Henderson's novice Hyland, recent Uttoxeter winner Monbeg Genius, and two multiple Grade One winners in Bravemansgame and L'Homme Presse.
Shark Hanlon's ever-popular Hewick warmed up for the Grand National with a hurdles victory at Thurles. 2023 Grand National runner-up, Vanillier returns to Aintree on the back of a fine effort at the Cheltenham Festival. Three Card Brag will be Gordon Elliott's main hope in this most famous of handicaps.
