Winter Fog, who finished second in the Pertemps qualifier at Leopardstown over Christmas, has been backed into favouritism for this year's Final. Emmet Mullins' runner has leapfrogged Sporting John, who could still run in the Stayers' Hurdle, at the head of the Pertemps betting.
Gordon Elliott boasts a superb record in the Pertemps Final. Two-time winner, Sire Du Berlais could spearhead Elliott's challenge. Gordon could also throw Dunboyne, Folcano, Tullbeg and Dallas Des Pictons into the mix.
