Joao Moreira made his Hong Kong return at last Wednesday’s Happy Valley meeting and was in hot form with four winners on the night, all for the Caspar Fownes stable.
That pair combine again here with Noble Pursuit, who was a comfortable winner in stronger grade over this track and trip prior to a 13-month absence.
He has taken some time to build back into his work following that break, with the highlight this preparation a runner-up finish in a similar event on February 11.
Nothing has gone right in two subsequent attempts, having been dragged back from a wide gate on March 4 before covering ground throughout here a fortnight later.
Noble Pursuit comes down slightly in the weights, and importantly, ‘The Magic Man’ has barrier one at his disposal in what looks a very winnable race.

On a tricky Happy Valley meeting, the overs of the program lies with Argento Ocean, who drops in grade after an unlucky Class 3 attempt on March 18.
On that occasion, the four-year-old was wide throughout, and there was merit to the performance considering that tough run when beaten 3.5 lengths.
He arrived there off a runner-up finish behind Rainbow Seven, who is one of the market elects here.
There is a big weight swing in his favour from that February 25 clash with that rival.
Still lightly raced with just eight starts, the penny started to drop as his first preparation wore on, including a breakthrough over this track-and-trip, and with more favours in the run this time, the grey can give this a shake at a decent price.

It has been a good start to the month for the Ricky Yiu stable, with four winners and six placegetters from 21 starters so far in April.
That includes a winning double at Sha Tin last Sunday, and he prepares Fiery Steed here.
The son of Capitalist failed in his Hong Kong debut on January 7, but that run can be forgiven as the gelding pulled up lame.
He had shown enough in his trials either side of that performance, and comes into this with a solid platform off two March hit-outs.
That includes an April 2 trial win when leading throughout at a strong tempo, and in a wide-open Class 3 to end the program, Fiery Steed is one of the blowout options at long odds.
