2024 Irish Guineas Festival


The first Classics races of the Irish flat racing season take place at the end of May, as the Irish Guineas Festival is played out at the Curragh.

The Irish Guineas Festival kicks off on Friday and ends on the Sunday. The Irish 2000 Guineas headlines the card on Saturday, with the Irish 2000 Guineas topping the billing on the third and final afternoon.

The 2024 Irish Guineas Festival kicks off on Friday 24th May, and ends with Irish 1000 Guineas day on Sunday 26th May.

Friday's card at the Irish Guineas Festival takes place in the evening, allowing viewers to attend once they've finished work. 

The Group Three Gallinule Stakes has been moved from Sunday to headine the card on day one. Friday's meeting also features several competitive maidens and the Emerald Mile Handicap.

Ireland's version of the 2000 Guineas features on Saturday's card at the Irish Guineas Festival, and viewers can look forward to a thrilling renewal in 2022.

Along with that feature Classic, viewers have the Group Two Greeland Stakes Sprint to look forward to, as well as the Lanwades Stud Stakes and the Marble Hill Stakes.

The day after the colts have stolen the show at the Curragh, fillies have their chance to shine in the Irish 1000 Guineas.
