Kyprios has returned from injury in fine form this season. Aidan O'Brien's star, who won this race in 2022, returns to Goodwood on the back of a second Ascot Gold Cup triumph and Kyprios is best priced at 4/6 to win back this crown too.
Sitting second in the market is Kyprios' three-year-old stablemate Illinois, who followed victory in the Queen's Vase by placing second in the Grand Prix de Paris. Sweet William will bid for a second Glorious Goodwood victory, following his third-place finish behind the market leader at Ascot.
Coltrane, Caius Chorister and Gregory have plenty of ground to make up on Kyprios, having finished fifth, sixth and seventh respectively in the Ascot Gold Cup. Uxmal could step up to Group One company, following his rampant victory in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot.
2021 Goodwood Cup winner, Trueshan returned to winning form at Sandown on his most recent start. Continuous and Grosvenor Square could join Kyprios and Illinois in the field.
