2:30pm Queen Anne Stakes Result

TRIPLE TIME holds off Frankie Dettori and Inspiral to win the Queen Anne Stakes, returning the longest price in the history of this great race. Light Infantry stays on to finish third, ahead of beaten favourite Modern Games.

BRADSELL claims his second Royal Ascot victory, following his Coventry Stakes win in 2022 with victory in the King's Stand Stakes. Highfield Princess finished a slightly unlucky second, as the winner veered across her path during the final furlong. After a steward's inquiry, the placings remained unaltered.

4:20pm St James's Palace Stakes Result

Ireland gets one over on England again at Royal Ascot, as Irish 2000 Guineas winner PADDINGTON comfortably beats Newmarket winner Chaldean. Charyn stays on well from the rear to finish third, in a race dominated by the top two in the market.

Nicky Henderson wins another Ascot Stakes as AHORSEWITHNONAME - who was having her last race and is currently in-foal to Cracksman - stays on under William Buick to claim an impressive win. Our selection Calling The Wind travelled well and eventually finished second, ahead of Law Of The Sea and Tritonic.

6:10pm Copper Horse Stakes Handicap Result

Ryan Moore completes a treble on day one as the well-backed favourite VAUBAN destroys his rivals to win the card-closing handicap. Willie Mullins saddled the 1-2 as Frankie Dettori finished second on Absurde. Cemhaan and Chillingham complete the places.

The going on the straight course is now Good (from Good-To-Firm). The going on the round course is now Good-To-Soft (from Good).

11:00am Ground Update

Clerk of the course at Ascot, Chris Stickles will update the going at 12:00pm.

"We anticipate an ease in the going but it is too early to say what it will be before the rain we've had has properly soaked in." Stickles said.

"We had 10mm, or just under, and most of that came in the heavy shower this morning, which came just after we originally walked the track. We'll let that rain settle in and the ground will be reassessed by midday at the latest."

"We look set for a mainly overcast day now and there is a chance we may have the odd isolated shower throughout the day too. However, it will be nowhere near the volume of rain that we saw this morning."
