There was plenty of excitement on Wednesday, as the entries for the four novice hurdle races at the 2021 Cheltenham Festival were announced.

The Supreme Novices' Hurdle and Ballymore Novices' Hurdle open the first two days during the week. The Albert Bartlett and Triumph Hurdle for juveniles are both staged on Gold Cup day.

Let's take a look through the betting for these four valuable Grade Ones and highlight some notable entries.

2021 Supreme Novices' Hurdle Entries

Appreciate It tops the betting for both the Supreme and the Ballymore, but it seems certain Willie Mullins' Grade One winner will go for the opener on day one of the Cheltenham Festival.

Harry Fry has two runners near the head of the market, with impressive Tolworth Hurdle winner Metier potentially being joined by stablemate Boothill.

Gordon Elliott has given Ballyadam the two-mile option, as has Bob Olinger. Blue Lord could also represent Willie Mullins, who also has Ganapathi and unraced Arctic Warrior entered. Talking horse Dreal Deal has been handed Supreme and Ballymore entries by Ronan McNally.

Dan Skelton has Third Time Lucki and My Drogo in the mix. Flinteur Sacre could represent Nicky Henderson. Atholl Street has been entered in the Supreme by Paul Nicholls, while Bareback Jack, For Pleasure, Guard Your Dreams and Benson could represent British connections.

Top juveniles Zanahiyr and French Aseel have been entered in the Supreme, along with Mares' Novices' Hurdle favourite Gauloise

2021 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle Entries

Appreciate It sits alongside Bravemansgame and Bob Olinger at the head of the Ballymore betting. Willie Mullins' Gaillard Du Mesnil has been well-backed in recent weeks, and he too has been handed a Ballymore entry.

The odds suggest Ballyadam could be Gordon Elliott's Ballymore horse, despite winning the Royal Bond over two miles earlier in the season. Ashdale Bob, Cape Gentleman, Fly Smart and N'golo could also fly the flag for Ireland in Wednesday's opener.

Nicky Martin's Bear Ghylls and Harry Fry's Boothill are both unbeaten on British soil. Tom Lacey has handed Adrimel Ballymore Novices' Hurdle and Albert Bartlett entries. Nicky Henderson's Lecale's Article and Does He Know for Kim Bailey could also run in the Ballymore.

Other notable Ballymore entries include Eskylane and Fakeira for Gordon Elliott, Nicky Henderson's Gallyhill, Cask Mate for Noel Meade, and Paul Nicholls' unbeaten novice, Threeunderthrufive.

2021 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle Entries

Willie Mullins' Stattler leads the way in the betting for the 2021 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle. Ashdale Bob follows close behind, with Barbados Buck's, Fakeira and Torygraph all sitting near the head of the market.

Farouk D'alene and Holymacapony have both been handed entries for the three-miler. Willie Mullins has N'Golo and Ganapathi entered. Mouse Morris also holds dual entries, with Gentlemansgame and Indiana Jones.

Nicky Henderson has handed Emir Sacree a surprise entry. Adrimel, Mint Condition and Oscar Elite could all step up to three miles. Champagnesuperover, Make Me A Believer and Alaphilippe could all represent Britain on day four of the Cheltenham Festival

Other eye-catching entries include Cape Gentleman, Minella Escape and Streets Of Doyen. Shadow Rider, Vanillier, Crosshill and Stellar Magic also feature amongst the 74 entries for the Albert Bartlett.

2021 Triumph Hurdle Odds

French Aseel5/1
Duffle Coat10/1

2021 Triumph Hurdle Entries

Zanahiyr is currently the firm favourite for the Triumph. Willie Mullins moved quickly to purchase French Aseel after him impressive win in December, and he sits closest to Zanahiyr at the top of the market.

Along with Zanahiyr, Gordon Elliott has the unbeaten trio of Duffle Coat, Quilixios and Teahupoo entered in the 2021 Triumph Hurdle. They, along with the top two in the market, have been entered in the novice hurdles for older horses too, so Elliott is clearly keeping his options open, with an eye to splitting up his top juveniles.

Adagio is the leading British runner in the Triumph betting. Tritonic has been entered by Alan King, while Nicky Henderson has Goodbye Stranger and Heross Du Seuil in the mix.

Willie Mullins has given Triumph entries to Youmdor, Ha D'or, Haut En Couleurs and Farout. Nassalam could represent Gary Moore, with Busselton and Honneur D'Ajonc also featuring in the Triumph Hurdle entries.
