Day two of the Future Champions Festival at Newmarket is headlined by the Dewhurst Stakes. This historic seven-furlong contest has been won by a whole host of future Classic winners, including Ormonde, Nijinsky, Mill Reef and Frankel.

Topping the market we find Roger Varian Sakheer, who was cut into favouritism for the Dewhurst following a superb victory in the Mill Reef Stakes. Charlie Appleby has won two of the last three Dewhurst's and he'll be represented by Naval Power, who made it four-from-four in the Ascendant Stakes last month.

Juddmonte Stud could have two flagbearers in Saturday's main event. Frankie Dettori has already been confirmed in the saddle of Champagne Stakes winner Chaldean. Sir Michael Stoute's runaway Somerville Stakes winner, Nostrum also sits prominently in the betting.

Aidan O'Brien will travel to the Future Champions Festival hoping that Auguste Rodin, Aesop's Fables or Victoria Road can hand him an eighth victory in the Dewhurst. Glorious Goodwood winners, Royal Scotsman and Marbaan could also enter this valuable Group One.

Other notable entrants include Brian Meehan's unbeaten juvenile Isaac Shelby, Acomb and Champagne Stakes runner-up, Indestructible and Roger Varian's second-string, Charyn.
