Ebor Festival Day Two Tips - Thursday 18th August
Race 1 - Lowther Stakes Tips
Even a tricky draw in stall one may not be enough to get Dramatised beaten. Karl Burke's filly looked special at Royal Ascot and I'm hoping we see another strong showing before she steps up into Group One company.
With three paid places to play for behind the favourite, there's plenty of scope for an each-way bet here. KINTA kept on very well, after being shuffled to the rear, to finish second behind the classy Lezoo at Ascot last time out. George Boughey's filly can still be backed at 12/1, which looks a generous price about a filly who's clearly got plenty of ability.
Race 2 - Goffs Premier Yearling Stakes Tips
KING'S CROWN drops back down in grade, following decent efforts as a triple-figure outsider in both the Coventry and the July Stakes.
Adrian Nicholls' juvenile finished second to a classy rival in a maiden here at York in May and beat 17 rivals to win his own maiden over six furlongs next time out. That large-field experience should stand King's Crown in good stead.
I'm also going to back JM JUNGLE at a much longer price. John Quinn's colt hasn't been at his best in recent starts, but he did beat future Woodcote winner, Legend Of Xanadu at Hamilton in May and didn't run badly when fourth behind some decent sorts in the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Beverley.
Jason Hart's mount could be a player, in what looks a wide-open renewal of this conditions race.
Race 3 - Clipper Logistics Handicap Tips
CRUYFF TURN held on valiantly from the front to win this race 12 months ago, and claimed another victory on the Knavesmire by beating Brunch in the Hambleton Handicap here back in May.
Tim Easterby's five-year-old returns to York on the back of a solid effort in the Bunbury Cup, where he finished a three-length sixth from a tricky draw on the wrong side of the track. Cruyff Turn could make it back-to-back wins in this ultra-competitive handicap.
Another who seems overpriced is RHOSCOLYN, who's more than capable of landing a handicap of this stature.
David O'Meara's four-year-old ran a blinder at Royal Ascot and bounced back to form at Glorious Goodwood, where he made excellent late progress from the rear to finish seventh in the Spring Mile. Rhoscolyn seemed to relish the step back up to a mile at Goodwood and Harry Davies takes five pounds off his back once again.

Race 5 - Galtres Stakes Tips
It's been a few years since William Haggas recorded consecutive wins in the Galtres, but he seems to have kept GOLDEN LYRA specifically for this Listed contest.
On just her second career start, Tom Marquand's mount stayed on well after running green to finish a strong second in the Abingdon Stakes at Newbury in June. Golden Lyra then cruised to an effortless victory over a mediocre field in a novice race at Kempton and could take another big step forward in Thursday's final ITV contest.
