The second day of York's Ebor Festival is headlined by the Yorkshire Oaks. Unlike the Epsom and Irish Oaks, older horses can take on the three-year-olds in this Group One and the entries for this year's Yorkshire Oaks suggest we could be in for a fantastic renewal.
We've taken a look through the Yorkshire Oaks entries and picked out our best betting tips.

2022 Yorkshire Oaks Entries
Alpinista returned to action with an excellent Group One triumph in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloude last month. Sir Mark Prescott's mare is now unbeaten in her last six starts and could even move to the head of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe betting with another victory on Thursday.
The favourite will have to give weight to Epsom Oaks victor, Tuesday and Jessica Harrington's Magical Lagoon, who won the Irish Oaks after Emily Upjohn's no-show. Andre Fabre's Raclette will make the trip over from France to bolster the three-year-old challenge, after connections paid the supplementary fee.
Talented four-year-olds La Petite Coco and Lilac Road will challenge for another Group One. Ger Lyon's has entered up Cairde Go Deo, while Karl Burke and Sam James team up with Poptronic.
Aidan O'Brien's duo of History and Emily Dickinson also feature in the Ebor Festival entries, alongside Paddy Twomey's second-string, Rosscarbery.
2022 Yorkshire Oaks Tips
Alpinista sets a very high standard. Luke Morris' mount has previous in this race, having followed Love home in 2020 and, although her best performances have come on softer surfaces, the favourite has won on both good-to-firm and genuinely firm going.
That being said, only two five-year-olds have won the Yorkshire Oaks this century. 14 of the other 20 renewals of this Group One have been won by three-year-olds, so the weight-for-age allowance the younger fillies receive clearly gives them an advantage.
TUESDAY would be my pick of the younger horses, having been freshened up following her run in the Irish Derby. O'Brien made the unusual move to throw his filly in with the colts at the Curragh and the race wasn't run to suit Tuesday, who was held-up out the back and her late in-roads were only good enough for fourth.
Prior to that effort, Tuesday had been progressing with every run. O'Brien's filly followed placed efforts in the British and Irish 1000 Guineas with a hard-fought win over Emily Upjohn in the Epsom Oaks - following in the footsteps of her full sister Minding, who won that fabled Classic back in 2016.
By all accounts, Tuesday has improved physically after her summer hiatus. If she returns in the sort of form we saw at Epsom, then I fancy Ryan Moore's mount could take plenty of beating.
Verdict
Aidan O'Brien has won the last two renewals of the Yorkshire Oaks with his Epsom Classic winners, and Tuesday could add her name to that illustrious list.
