Hailtothevictors brings upside into this contest, with only one preparation behind him and scope to improve as he gains more race experience. He didn’t manage to threaten for a win last campaign, but there was merit to some of his performances and he looks better placed resuming.
His debut run at Happy Valley showed potential, making ground from the back despite the race being run at a muddling tempo that didn’t suit. That effort suggested there is more ability under the hood than his early results may indicate.
