Arc Betting Update 4.10.24 - Two outsiders being backed
Ladbrokes has reported a shift in betting trends for the upcoming Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, with contenders Look De Vega, Sunway, and Continuous capturing significant interest. Look De Vega has regained its status as the favorite after impressive preparations, overtaking Sosie in the betting markets. However, punters are also showing interest in backing underdogs such as Sunway, boasting a solid performance from the St Leger, and Continuous, regarded highly based on last year's Arc performance. The race is considered open, with many options attracting bettors.

Bookmaker Ladbrokes provided an update on their betting for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe today, reporting eye-catching support for two outsiders.
Earlier in the week, Look De Vega leapfrogged Sosie at the head of the betting. Carlos and Yann Lermer's star lost his unbeaten record when third behind Sosie in the Prix Niel, but rider Ronan Thomas reported this week that Look De Vega has done an astonishing piece of work in preperation for Sunday main event.
Thomas' mount topped the betting following his superb victory in the Prix du Jockey Club and Ladbrokes have shoved Look De Vega back to the top of their Arc market.
“Look De Vega has been a really popular pick in the last few days, with his shortening price reflecting that." said Ladbrokes' spokesman Nicola McGeady. "He has now replaced Sosie at the head of the market.”
Despite money coming for Look De Vega, Los Angeles and Shin Emperor during the week, Ladbrokes have also noticed significant amounts of cash for two further down the market.
McGeady continued. "This year’s Arc looks really wide open, with many punters happy to take on the front runners. There has been plenty of support for outsiders, with Sunway and Continuous catching the eye.”
David Menuisier will send Sunway back to France on the back of a fine effort in the St Leger at Doncaster, where his three-year-old saw out the trip well in finishing third behind two Aidan O'Brien runners.
Continuous was O'Brien's number one contender in last year's Arc, having proven his class by landing the St Leger. Christophe Soumillon's mount could only finish fifth 12 months ago, but after a couple of encouraging performances this autumn, Continuous is being supported by each-way backers ahead of Sunday's renewal.
