The 2025 Irish Grand National promises thrilling action with a lineup of talented horses, leading with Rebecca Curtis' Haiti Couleurs. The event, set two weeks after the British Grand National, may not feature Aintree participants but will see strong competition from novice winners and seasoned trainers. Emerging horses like Now Is The Hour, Better Days Ahead, and Kinturk Kalanisi add excitement. With few British victories in recent years, all eyes are on local talents and seasoned trainers pushing for the win.

2025 Irish Grand National Entries

Few British horses have tasted success in the Irish Grand National in recent years, but two raiders are sitting prominently in the betting for this year's renewal.

The market leader is Rebecca Curtis' novice Haiti Couleurs, who ran out an impressive winner of the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Jonjo O'Neill will be hoping to see Johnnywho hand him a third victory in this historic handicap, despite that shock defeat in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham last month.

Now Is The Hour fell two from home when challenging in the National Hunt Chase, and looks likely to represent Gavin Cromwell. Gordon Elliott has entered Brown Advisory Novices' Chase third, Better Days Ahead. Daily Present, who upset Johnnywho to land the Kim Muir, is a likely runner for Paul Nolan.

Nick Rockett, I Am Maximus, Iroko, Intense Raffles and Perceval Legallois are unlikely to run here, having appeared in the Grand National at Aintree. Chosen Witness looks set to represent Willie Mullins in the Scottish Grand National, with Captain Cody and High Class Here also entered up at Ayr.

Last year's winning trainer, Tom Gibney will be hoping to see Kinturk Kalanisi follow in the footsteps of Intense Raffles, who was also a novice when he scored ar Fairyhouse 12 months ago. Peter Fahey looks set to step recent Listed winner Canal End up in trip, if he makes it into the final field off his mark of 129.

Dancing City and Quai De Bourbon could fly the flag for Willie Mullins, after both fell in the Mildmay Novices' Chase at Aintree. Other potential runners at Fairyhouse include Ultima Handicap Chase third Malina Girl, another Jonjo O'Neill raider in Hasthing, Sam Curling's Hunter Chase winner Wonderwall, and Bushmans Pass for Oliver McKiernan.
