2026 Cheltenham Gold Cup Entries

The new favourite for this year's Gold Cup is Fact To File, following his sensational victory in the 2026 Irish Gold Cup. Last year's Ryanair winner will have to be supplemented into the Gold Cup, but that hasn't stopped most firms from listing Fact To File as their 7/2 favourite.

Galopin Des Champs has finished third on his two appearances around Leopardstown this season, but remains a single-figure price to win his third Gold Cup. Willie Mullins could also be represented by Gaelic Warrior, who has placed in both the King George VI Chase and the Irish Gold Cup in recent starts.

The Jukebox Man claimed victory in a thrilling renewal of the King George, and now sits prominently in the Gold Cup betting. Jango Baie kept on well to place fourth at Kempton and sits ahead of The Jukebox Man in the Cheltenham market. Haiti Couleurs added the Welsh Grand National to his trophy cabinet in December, and warmed up for the Festival with an easy victory in the Denman Chase at Newbury.

Spillane's Tower upset an under-cooked Grey Dawning to land the Cotswold Chase on Trials Day. Harry Skelton didn't ask the Betfair Chase winner many questions at Cheltenham, and Grey Dawning should be spot on for the Gold Cup. Affordale Fury leapt into Gold Cup contention when winning the Savills Chase, but will have to bounce back after a poor showing at the Dublin Racing Festival.

Defending Gold Cup champion, Inothewayurthinkin is an unlikely runner after falling in the Irish Gold Cup. I Am Maximus is a potential runner before a third tilt at the Grand National. Other likely Gold Cup challengers include Fastorslow for Martin Brassil, Gordon Elliott's Stellar Story, and Henry de Bromhead's three-time Cheltenham Festival winner Envoi Allen - who will be retired after running at Cheltenham.
