| Name | Odds |
|---|---|
| Jonbon | 4/7 |
| Energumene | 5/1 |

| Edwardstone | 12/1 |
| Master Chewy | 16/1 |
| Unexpected Party | 20/1 |
| Harpers Brook | 100/1 |
2025 Celebration Chase Entries
Despite his troubles at Cheltenham, Jonbon remains unbeaten over fences at every other venue, having picked up his second Melling Chase at Aintree three weeks ago. Nicky Henderson's top chaser will be looking to complete a hat-trick of Celebration Chase victories on Saturday, but may not be accompanied by Nico De Boinville, who suffered a heavy fall at Plumpton over the weekend.
Willie Mullins will play a strong hand as he looks to retain his Champion Trainer crown. Paul Townend will ride former Champion Chaser Energumene, with Danny Mullins aboard three-time Grade One winner Il Etait Temps, who hasn't been seen since last year's Punchestown Festival.
Tom Cannon and Alan King will team up with the now 11-year-old Edwardstone. Nigel Twiston-Davies drops Master Chewy back down to two miles.Title-chasing Dan Skelton runs both Unexpected Party and Harper's Brook.
2025 Celebration Chase Tips
Willie Mullins has confirmed two of his four entrants, with Gaelic Warrior heading to the Oaksey Chase instead. Paul Townend rides Energumene, who was no match for the market leader around Ascot and was pulled up at the Cheltenham Festival. Il Etait Temps ended last season on a high, but hasn't run in open company yet, let alone against one of the sport's finest chasers.
Edwardstone hasn't been anywhere near his best this season and Father Time seems to be catching up with him. Master Chewy jumped terribly before falling at Sandown earlier in the season, and Harpers Brook doesn't stand much of a chance.
I could see a world where Unexpected Party runs on into the places and he could be the value bet of the race. However, I simply cannot envisage him producing a performance good enough to beat a horse of JONBON'S (4/7) calibre.
Nicky Henderson's star has enjoyed another imperious campaign, winning four of his five starts. The favourite made it five wins from five starts around Sandown when romping to victory in the Tingle Creek and proved he had far too much boot for Energumene when landing the Clarence House.
Three weeks on from another dismal round of jumping at Cheltenham - where he still managed to finish second - Jonbon successfully retained his Melling Chase crown at Aintree's Grand National Festival. With Nico De Boinville injured, Mark Walsh travels over to take the ride and he'll get some thrill riding Jonbon around his favourite track.

Verdict
Jonbon isn't a betting proposition at 4/7. However, if he were to drift towards the even money mark, then I'll certainly be backing the favourite, as he's comfortably the best two mile chaser in the sport.
