The final Grade One of the British National Hunt season takes place at Sandown on Saturday, as many of the sports top chasers battle it out in the Celebration Chase. This two-mile Grade One has been won by many of the sport's finest chasers, including greats like Well Chief, Sprinter Sacre and Altior.

2022 Celebration Chase Entries
Greaneteen took down Altior to win his first Grade One in this race 12 months ago. Paul Nicholls' eight-year-old claimed an impressive victory in the Tingle Creek back in December and will be looking to extend his impressive record around this track.
Nube Negra ran out an impressive winner of the Shloer Chase on his reappearance, before disappointing in the Tingle Creek after a short turnaround. Dan Skelton's top chaser travels to Sandown fresh, having skipped the Champion Chase when the ground became too soft.
Sceau Royal drops back to two miles after an excellent third in the Melling Chase at Aintree. Funambule Sivola was pulled up at Aintree, but his runner-up finish in the Champion Chase puts Venetia Williams' chaser right in the picture.
Champion Chase third, Envoi Allen has been handed an entry by Henry De Bromhead. Editeur Du Gite, Rouge Vif, Sky Pirate and Malystic also feature in the Sandown betting.
2022 Celebration Chase Tips
I've been a keen follower of NUBE NEGRA over the last few years, and I'm not going to desert Dan Skelton's star on Saturday.
I was on Nube Negra in last year's Champions Chase, where he came up just a length short of Put The Kettle On. Harry Skelton's mount was my NAP of the day when he bolted up in the Shloer Chase back in November.
I still have no idea why the team ran in the Tingle Creek. Skelton has said on numerous occasions that Nube Negra is at his best when fresh and when the ground is good, so running in that Grade One on the back of a three-week turnaround was never going to end well.
Rain-softened ground meant Skelton removed his star chaser from the Champion Chase. Instead of heading to Punchestown again, Skelton has saved Nube Negra for the Celebration Chase and I fancy he'll take plenty of beating on suitably good ground.
Verdict
When conditions are in his favour, Nube Negra is as good a two-mile chaser as you'll find anywhere and he should be very hard to beat in this year's Celebration Chase.
