2024 Scottish Grand National Entries

With Willie Mullins charging towards a maiden British Champion Trainer title, racing fans can expect to see plenty of Willie's horses feature in the entries for Ayr this weekend.

Mullins had already handed an entry to progressive novice Macdermott following his emphatic win at Fairyhouse earlier this month and Willie's star has been backed into favouritism over the weekend. Mullins could also be represented by We'llhavewan, Spanish Harlem, Klarc Kent and Ontheropes on Saturday, along with Mr Incredible, who unseated his rider when trailing in the Grand National at Aintree on Saturday.

Anglers Crag, who is unbeaten in four starts for Brian Ellison and was last seen landing the Eider Chase at Newcastle, now sits second in the betting. Midlands Grand National winner, Beauport is also prominent in the market.

Dan Skelton and Paul Nicholls will need winning weekends to overhaul Willie Mullins in the race to be champion trainer. Nicholls has entered top novice Stay Away Fay, who'll carry top weight off his mark of 158. Skelton's leading chance is Sail Away, who skipped the Topham at Aintree when the ground became too testing.

Famous Bridge travels to Ayr on the back of a good fourth in the Ultima at Cheltenham. Hunter Chase winner, Sine Nomine has been handed a mark of 133 after his Cheltenham win. Emma Lavelle could be represented by Classic Chase winner My Silver Lining. Other possible Scottish Grand National runners include Autonomous Cloud, Mr Vango, Inis Oirr and Whacker Clan.
