The main event at Newmarket on Saturday is the Sun Chariot Stakes. This famous race was first held on the Rowley Mile back in 1966 and Frankie Dettori has already been confirmed in the saddle of the favourite for this year's renewal.

After a poor run as the favourite in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes last year, John and Thady Gosden have decided to bypass Champions Day and target this contest with Inspiral. Frankie Dettori claimed an emotional victory in the Jacques le Marois aboard Gosden's filly earlier in the summer and Inspiral is odds-on to claim the fifth Group One of her career.

French raider, Mqse De Sevigne has claimed top-level victories at Deauville on her two most recent starts and Andre Fabre's filly sits closest to Inspiral in the market. Paddy Twomey could send Just Beautiful over to England, with Meditate and Goldana likely to represent Aidan and Joseph O'Brien.

Heredia looks set to run for Richard Hannon, following taking victories in both the Dick Hern and Atalanta Stakes. The Gosden's could also throw recent Rosemary Stakes winner, Coppice into Saturday's Sun Chariot Stakes.

Random Harvest could step back up into Group One company, despite a poor showing in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood last time out. Archie Watson's Group Three winner, Roman Mist completes the field.
