2022 Vertem Futurity Trophy Entries

Aidan O'Brien needs one more winner to surpass Sir Henry Cecil at the head of the trainer standings. O'Brien accounts for eight of the 17 entries and it's his top contender Auguste Rodin, winner of the Champion Juvenile Stakes at Leopardstown, who currently dominates the Doncaster betting.

Auguste Rodin could be joined in the field by Group Three winner, Victoria Road and recent maiden winners, Espionage and Salt Lake City. Adelaide River, Covent Garden, Greenland and Hiawatha could also fly the flag for Ballydoyle on Saturday.

In stark contrast to Aidan O'Brien, John Gosden has never managed to win this Group One. The Gosden's account for two entries, with both Epictetus and Arrest sitting prominently in the betting.

The youngest of the O'Brien's, Donnacha could throw Proud And Regal into the mix. Andrew Balding has entered up Stormbuster, with David Loughnane set to run King Of Steel. Other notable entrants include Dubai Mile for the Johnstons, Karl Burke's Holloway Boy and Ralph Beckett's Captain Wierzba.
