2024 St Leger Confirmed Runners - Eight runners will contest the final British Classic

A field of eight has been confirmed for the 2024 St Leger, with Aidan O'Brien set to saddle the first three in the betting.

Wayne Lordan was in the saddle of Queen's Vase winner Illinois when he finished second to Los Angeles in the Great Voltigeur Stakes. With Ryan Moore riding at Leopardstown, Lordan has opted to retain his partnership with the market leader.

Gavin Ryan returns to the saddle of Grosvenor Square, having almost pinched the Curragh Cup aboard Aidan O'Brien's three-year-old two starts previous. The final runner from Ballydoyle is the unbeaten Jan Brueghel, who will be partnered by multiple Group One winner, Sean Levey.

Ralph Beckett supplemented Irish Oaks winner, You Got To Me into the St Leger field on Monday and she'll be getting three pounds from the colts at the weights. King George fourth and Irish Derby runner-up, Sunway steps up in trip, with French ace Christophe Soumillon booked to take the ride.

With Oisin Murphy riding in Canada on Saturday evening, Danny Tudhope rides the outsider of the field, Wild Waves for Andrew Balding. The final runner in Saturday's Classic is Epsom Derby fourth Deira Mile, who'll be ridden for the first time by Jason Watson.
