Aidan O'Brien boasts an overwhelming recent record in this Classic and his big gun for this year's renewal will be Scandinavia. O'Brien's three-year-old ran away with the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket, and went on to thrash his elders in the Goodwood Cup next time out.

Epsom Derby winner, Lambourn was due to line up in the St Leger, but could now head elsewhere after a disappointing fifth in the Great Voltigeur Stakes. Stay True could head to Doncaster after a fourth-place finish at the Ebor Festival. Saratoga also remains in the entries for Ballydoyle.

Queen's Vase winner, Carmers performed well at York, finishing second behind impressive winner Pride Of Arras. Andrew Balding's Further seems a likely runner in the St Leger, having beaten his elders in the Geoffrey Freer Stakes.

Ray Dawson has been confirmed in the saddle of Roger Varian's Rahiebb, who finished a one-paced fourth in the Gordon Stakes after an excellent third behind Carmers at Royal Ascot. Colin Keane rides Tarriance, who was last seen landing the Melrose Handicap at York for Andrew Balding.
