2024 Betfair Chase Entries

Turners' Novices' Chase winner, Grey Dawning currently tops the betting for this huge Grade One. Dan Skelton had hoped to get a run into his stable star before travelling to Haydock, but the ground came up too fast in the Charlie Hall, so Grey Dawning will make his reappearance on Merseyside.

Emmet Mullins's National Hunt Chase winner, Corbetts Cross was ruled out of the race this weekend after returning a bad scope. Owner, JP McManus has opted to supplement Cotswold Chase winner, Capodanno into Saturday's main event at Haydock and Willie Mullins' raider enters the betting at 6/1.

Royale Pagaille cruised to victory in this race 12 months ago, but hasn't been seen since a heavy fall in the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham. Ahoy Senor ran well on his return to action this term, staying on under top weight to place third in the Old Roan.

Shark Hanlon looks set to send over King George winner Hewick, who was touched off in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase by Envoi Allen last month. Bravemansgame looks likely to take up his entry, as does The Real Whacker, who beat Bravemansgame when the two squared off in the Charlie Hall.

Gavin Cromwell has entered Mares' Chase winner Limerick Lace. 2022 winner, Protektorat could represent the Skeltons again. Other possible runners include Chianti Classico for Kim Bailey, Mouse Morris' raider Gentlemansgame, French star Gold Tweet, and Old Roan Chase winner Minella Drama.
