2022 Welsh Grand National Entries

Quick Wave tops the ante-post betting for two-time Welsh National winner Venetia Williams, following his comfortable victory in the London National at Sandown. Sitting second in the market is Irish raider The Big Dog, who was last seen winning the lucrative Troytown Handicap at Navan in November.

Ask Me Early, favourite for last year's renewal before he was ruled out through injury, has been well-backed in recent days. As has Surrey National winner The Galloping Bear, who also won the Grand National Trial at Haydock last year, before being disqualified.

Local trainer, Rebecca Curtis could throw second-season novice, Pats Fancy into the mix. Coral Gold Cup third, Gericault Roque, Becher winner Ashtown Lad, and Gordon Elliott's Escaria Ten also feature prominently in the betting.

In a race named in honour of his sister Kim Gingell, Joe Tizzard could run both The Big Breakaway and Oscar Elite. 2020 winner Secret Reprieve could return for another crack, after finishing fifth last year. Other possible runners include Lord Du Mesnil, Threeunderthrufive, Iwilldoit, Eva's Oskar and Royal Pagaille.
