Aurelien Lemaitre went off fast and never looked like being pegged back. Tahiyra was the only runner who tried to bridge the gap, and she was pipped to the post for second by Facteur Cheval, who completed a 1-2 for France in the QEII.

Frankie Dettori makes the perfect start to Champions Day as TRAWLERMAN wins the Long Distance Cup.
Dettori was the first to pass the pace-setting Maxident. Ryan Moore rousted Kyprios into the lead entering the straight, but the former Gold Cup winner tied up late on, allowing Dettori and Trawlerman to battle back and claim victory.
