2021 Celebration Chase Odds - Altior, Nube Negra and Put The Kettle On battling for favouritism

Sandown stages their season-ending meeting on Saturday, and the Celebration Chase headlines the action. Many top chasers have ended the season with victory in this Grade One, with the names of Sire De Grugy, Well Chief and Sprinter Sacre shining on the roll of honour.

Nine top chasers have been entered in this year's Celebration Chase, and the top three are locked in a battle for favouritism.

Altior won the last renewal of the Celebration Chase back in 2019, and Nicky Henderson is confident his star has recovered from the injury that ruled him out of the Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

In Altior's absence, Put The Kettle On swept past Chacun Pour Soi and held off Nube Negra to claim her second Cheltenham victory in the Queen Mother. Nube Negra was the unlucky loser on the day, having run into traffic problems between the final two flights, and he joined Altior and Put The Kettle On at the head of bet365's betting.

Greaneteen was only beaten two lengths back in fourth in the Champion Chase, and he'll enter his third Grade One of the season. Sceau Royal - second to Altior here in 2019 - stayed on after getting hampered at Cheltenham, and he'll take his place in the field at Sandown.

Old Roan winner, Nuts Well could drop back to two miles, having followed Fakir D'Oudairies home in the Melling Chase. Editeur Du Gite could jump into Grade One company after winning the Red Rum Handicap Chase at Aintree. Dolos and Ornua also feature in the betting.
