The fourth and final Group One race staged on British Champions Day is the Champion Stakes. This ten-furlong contest has been won by many of flat racing's most famous names and Bay Bridge could attempt to become the 14th two-time winner of this great race when he returns to Ascot this month.

2023 Champion Stakes Entries
Leading the way in the early betting is rising French star Horizon Dore. Pascal Cottier's star has notched up four successive victories and travels to Ascot on the back of an excellent victory in the Prix Dollar on day one of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe meeting.
Last year's winner, Bay Bridge could be turned out again quickly, following an excellent sixth in the Arc at Longchamp. Irish Champions Stakes hero, Auguste Rodin has been handed an entry by Aidan O'Brien, along with stablemates Luxembourg, Continuous, Victoria Road, Adelaide River and Cairo.
Roger Varian could be represented by Epsom Derby runner-up King Of Steel. Europe's highest-rated horse, Mostahdaf has also been entered up, but his current odds suggest that John and Thady Gosden's star won't be running.
George Boughey has entered up Via Sistina, with Owen Burrow's Alflaila likely to take up his entry. Other possible runners on British Champions Day include French raiders Erevann and Skalleti, William Haggas' My Prospero, Karl Burke's Royal Rhyme and Joseph O'Brien's duo of Al Riffa and Above The Curve.
